Wings and Pearls Music Box is an animated taxidermy sculpture by Ave Rose. Created as part of her Bestiary of the Automata Collection in 2014. The base is made from an antique clock. On the face of the clock is a Blue Cicada with genuine white pearls and clock parts. Mounted within the base is a music box. When the and crank is turned a Mother of Pearl Butterfly adorned in brass filigree with flap her wings within a magical glass dome.
