Wallace is a mechanical butterfly sculpture featuring a real butterfly. The wings are armored with brass filigree. The antennae are painted gold. The head is crowned with a genuine fire sapphire set in 14k gold. The butterfly is set upon a wooden box that holds a motion mechanism that will make the butterfly fly at the use of a brass hand crank. Created 2014.
