I’ll be here with a Watchbot Universe at booth 1111! I’ve not only created new Watchbot worlds, but I’ve resurrected a few old ones that have not been seen since 2011.  Also for the first time since 2013 I’ll have individual Watchbots for sale at a special D-Con only price. Also part of this year’s line up: LIVE music from DEAD ZED’s CHOPPER, appearances from North Star Steam’s very own 8′ tall Lovecraftian robot, D.A.G.O.N. costume contest, raffles, FULL bar, food & drink, fire dancing and more! These 4 pieces are an emotional response to my time spent on the reality show Steampunk’d. I wanted to deviate from the genre I spent a long time living & breathing in during high stress conditions. These works are colorful, playful, and provocative concentrations of my feelings during this time.

This is photo is from a fantasy shoot I created & directed called Devil Dolls. The little girl on the left is my dear friend Sarah who just got diagnosed with a tumor in her optic nerve. She is only 10 years old. There is a fundraiser to help her family through this tough time.  Click on the photo below to check it out.

I hope you enjoyed the first episode of Steampunk’d! The next episode airs this wed Aug. 26th at 9pm/8c. It’s an hour earlier than last week. The premiere of a show always feels a bit compacted because they have to introduce the premise of the show as well as introduce the contestants and the judges. I have a feeling that episode two will show more making. So exciting!

In STEAMPUNK’D, 10 contestants (also known as “Makers”) will be challenged to marry objects from the past and present in order to create impressive futuristic designs. Dramatic reveals each week will build to a grand finale of a fully realized Steampunk’d manor and the winner will take home a $100,000 grand prize. Airs Aug 19th 10pm/9c on the Game Show Network (GSN).
