\u2013 from a private collection<\/em><\/p>\n

A commission to create an abstract portrait of a man\u2019s lover with my style of art. Using notes about her, I made \u201cSofia\u201d and wrote this poem to accompany the piece.<\/p>\n

Sofia
\nA beautiful world in a beautiful girl.
\nA place where a ruby adorned butterfly beats her wings to the whimsical notes of a music box.
\nThe music box plays next to a window of crimson treasure that is a shimmering sanguine sea of dreams.
\nDreams where a golden castle awaits its ballerina princess.
\nShe is strong and proud. She is poised with honor. But she is a slave to her passion and bound by love. The chains that hold her in place keep her safe and warm in the fires of his heart.
\nAnd these fires are orange sapphires \u00a0 \u00a0 sparkling in her eyes.
\nShe is a cabinet of curiosities. A metallic rose encased in glass. A tiny tangerine\u00a0\u00a0flower resting within a tiny fancy frame. A pretty pair of delicate and intricate filigree \u00a0scissors ready to cut in brilliance. A noble siamese cat. A flower whose petals have been plucked\u2026 He loves she, he loves she not\u2026 With the single petal remaining to express that he Does love\u2026 His heart is hers. It hangs in her cage. Surrounded by vintage light bulbs to always be lit with old memories and new adventures. The butterfly will forever flutter in this beautiful world and \u00a0a marble of \u00a0pretty colors swirling in an ocean of blue is the planet earth with Russia facing and reflecting the ballerina princess, her glorious castle, chains of passion, and all the magic of sofia\u2019s soul.<\/p>\n
